Materials & construction

The gravestones are carved from maple and lime wood and finished with non-toxic, water-based paint, with engraved detail and no small parts to come loose.

Bumbu hand-carves and hand-paints its toys in Romania. Because each piece is worked by hand, the grain and the exact color vary slightly from one to the next. The wood keeps its natural texture, so light marks and color variation are normal.

Care & storage

Dust them or wipe them with a barely damp cloth, then dry them; skip soaking and the dishwasher entirely. Away from heat and damp the pair keeps for many seasons, and if the color ever dulls, a touch of beeswax polish brings it back.
