Answers we give over the phone, gathered in one place. If your question isn't here, email us — we read every note.

Placing orders.

When will an item be back in stock?

Restock dates vary. On the product page, click "Notify me when available" to be emailed the moment we receive it. Most brands restock every 6 to 12 weeks; some hand-stitched items (Tara Treasures, Fairyshadow) take longer.

If you need a specific item by a specific date, email contact@mytoywagon.com and we can check our incoming purchase orders for you.

Can I cancel or make changes to an order I placed?

Once an order is placed, it is queued to be picked, packed, and shipped, which makes changes difficult. Call us first at 626-841-0421 if you need to cancel quickly — that is faster than email. We are open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Pacific.

You can also email contact@mytoywagon.com with your order number, but email response can take up to 24 hours.

What are the terms of special holiday and sale events?

Sale terms vary by event and are stated on the promotional landing page. In general, sale items are final sale (no returns), discount codes do not stack with the Rewards program, and certain price-protected brands are excluded.

Can I place an order over the phone?

Yes. Call 626-841-0421 during business hours and we will walk you through the order. We take Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, and Shop Pay.

Can I place a wholesale order?

We do not currently run a wholesale program for resellers. We do offer an Educator Program with volume pricing and Net-30 invoicing for verified schools, therapists, and homeschool families. Apply for an Educator account →

Why am I getting a zip code error at checkout?

Some brands restrict shipping by region (a few makers cannot ship to specific U.S. states, and some products cannot ship internationally). If your zip triggers an error, one item in your cart is geographically restricted. Remove the item, or email us at contact@mytoywagon.com and we will tell you which item is the issue.

Why is there a surcharge on certain items?

A small number of oversize items (large Drewart structures, marble runs, ride-ons) carry an oversize-shipping surcharge that we pass through at cost. The surcharge is listed on the individual product page. If you are buying multiple oversize items, email us first for a combined quote.

What is Shipping Protection?

We use Route Package Protection at checkout. For a small fee, Route insures your order against loss, damage, or theft in transit. If something happens, you file a claim directly with Route and they replace or refund. Route is optional and especially recommended during the holiday season.

Shipping.

What are your shipping rates?

Standard U.S. shipping is $9.95. Free at $150 (after discounts, before tax). Local delivery in LA and Orange County is $10 with a $100 minimum. Quick Ship $14.95. Expedited $37.95.

When will my order ship?

Most orders ship within 2 to 4 business days from our Los Angeles warehouse. Some larger items ship from partner warehouses in the contiguous U.S., with similar transit times. Quick Ship orders placed before 11 am Pacific on a weekday ship same-day.

When will my order be delivered?

Standard transit is 1 to 6 business days after shipping. Add 1 to 3 business days for processing. Total: usually 3 to 9 business days from order placement to delivery in the contiguous U.S.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. Free standard shipping on orders that subtotal $150 or more after discounts and rewards points (before tax), in the contiguous U.S.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

Yes. Quick Ship ($14.95) prioritizes processing; Expedited ($37.95) prioritizes both processing and transit (typically 1 to 2 days). Neither is available for oversize items or items shipping directly from the maker.

Where do you ship?

Throughout the United States and to most addresses in Canada, China, France, Japan, and Mexico, via USPS, UPS, DHL, or FedEx. International orders require an email quote — contact us at contact@mytoywagon.com before placing.

Can I look up my order status?

Yes. Log into your account or use the order confirmation email link. You can also use the "Track order" link in the top utility bar of any page on our site.

Will I receive tracking info?

Yes. You receive an email with tracking the moment your order ships. If it has been more than 4 business days since you ordered and you have not received tracking, email us.

Returns.

What is your return policy?

30 days from the date you receive your order, for any reason. Free returns if the item arrived damaged or defective. A small return-shipping fee applies for change-of-mind returns. See our full returns policy for details.

How do I make a return?

Email contact@mytoywagon.com with your order number and the reason for the return. We will send a return label and instructions within one business day.

Who pays for return shipping?

We pay return shipping if the item arrived damaged, defective, or wrong. For change-of-mind returns, we deduct a small return-shipping fee from your refund.

How and when will I be refunded?

Refunds are issued within 3 business days of receiving your returned item, to your original payment method. Banks and credit card companies can take an additional 3 to 7 days to post the refund.

What if I receive damaged, missing, or incorrect items?

Email contact@mytoywagon.com within 7 days of receiving the order. Include pictures of the damage if applicable. We will send a replacement free of charge, or refund if the item is no longer available. We cover all shipping costs in these cases.

Can I exchange an item?

We do not process direct exchanges. The fastest path is to return the original item and place a separate order for the new one.

How do I return a gift?

If you received a gift and need to return it, email us with the order number from the gift receipt (or the giver's email address and approximate order date). We will issue store credit to your account, since we cannot refund the giver's payment method without their consent.

Rewards.

Do you have a rewards program?

Yes. Sign up for an account and you get 100 points on the house. Earn 1 point per $1 spent. Redeem every 100 points for $5 off, $10 off, $15 off, and on. Plus a birthday gift, referral rewards, and small perks for sharing.

When do my points expire?

After 6 months of account inactivity. Any order, login, or redemption resets the clock.

Why can't I redeem on every product?

A small group of brands is price-protected by the maker. Those brands are excluded from rewards redemption: Drewart, Grapat, Atelier des Peupliers, Poppie Toys, Mader Kreiselmanufaktur, Magic Wood, Route Package Protection, gift cards, and sale items. You still earn points on these purchases at the standard rate.

Product questions.

Are your toys safe for young children?

Every product on our site is age-rated by the manufacturer. We only carry brands that meet U.S. or European toy safety standards (ASTM F963, EN 71). Always supervise children under 3 with small parts, and follow the maker's age guidance.

How are wooden toys finished?

Most of the wooden toys we carry are finished with food-safe oils, beeswax, or water-based non-toxic stains. Bumbu pieces are hand-painted with saliva-resistant water-based stains and finished with organic oils. Drewart finishes with natural beeswax. Specifics are listed in each product description.

How do I clean a wooden toy?

Wipe with a barely-damp cloth. Do not submerge. Air dry completely. For sticky residue, a dab of mild soap on the cloth is fine. See our blog post "How to clean a wooden toy without ruining the finish" for the full breakdown.

Can felt items be washed?

Most felt items are spot-clean only with cool water and wool-safe soap. Some smaller felt items (Tara Treasures finger puppets, felt fruits) tolerate a gentle hand wash. Check the individual product page for care instructions.

Where are your products made?

We curate from makers around the world. Bumbu (Romania), Bauspiel (Germany), Drewart (Germany), Fagus (Germany), Tara Treasures (designed Australia, hand-felted Nepal), Gus + Mabel (designed Australia, made in their privately owned factory in China), Wild Mountain Child (USA), Tiny Fox Hole (Europe). Origin is named on every product page.

Account & gifts.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Every order from our Los Angeles warehouse is wrapped in cream tissue with a handwritten note, free. Tell us at checkout that it is a gift and we will leave the price off the packing slip. Items that ship from a partner warehouse arrive with printed gift packaging; for a handwritten note on those, ask in the checkout notes and we will mail one separately, free.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes — digital gift cards only. Chosen, written, and on its way in seconds. Delivered by email, redeemable any time, never expires.

Can I create a wishlist?

Yes. Create your wishlist here. Sign in, tap the heart on any product to save, then share the list with family and friends before birthdays and holidays.

How do I create an account?

Click "Sign in" in the top right of any page, then "Create account." You'll get 100 rewards points the moment you do, plus access to your order history, wishlist, and saved addresses.
