One ounce of Corriedale wool roving in a drawstring bag, in the colors a room actually runs out of. Corriedale felts easily, which is why it is the fiber in every Woolpets kit.

The same wool does two crafts. Younger children wet felt it with warm water and soap, no needles at all. From around age eight it can be needle felted into sculpture. Buy depth in a few colors rather than one of everything; white, gray, and the browns are what every animal starts from.
