A cottage with a door that truly opens, and that is the whole magic of it. Behind a working wooden door on real metal hinges lives whoever the child says lives there: the farmer, the fox, the smallest gnome in the kingdom. The doorway is generous enough for a wooden train to pass through, which makes this cottage a natural station house for Brio-style track worlds.
Bikeho carves each cottage from solid regional alder in Germany, in a social-therapeutic workshop where the making itself is part of the mission. Every piece is individually sawn, carved, and sanded, with edges rounded soft and surfaces finished in food-safe plant oils. Some pieces keep a strip of bark, firmly attached, for the fingers to find. No two cottages are quite alike, and yours will have its own grain and character.
