A double-ended spoon with a teaspoon on one end and a quarter teaspoon on the other, because a dash or a splash is an important measure to know when you are deep in the enchanted garden.

It rides the brand's signature branch handle, textured and tactile, carved to feel gathered from the garden itself, and it moves from mud kitchen to potion station to your own baking drawer without changing costume.

Why it lasts.

We carry Wild Mountain Child because these are real tools, not toy-shaped props: hand-carved, hand-sanded, and hand-polished from Doussie plantation timber by Vietnamese artisans in a traditional craft village, finished in food-grade oil, and designed in Australia by a mother who tested these spoons for years in her own children's hands, in a backyard mud kitchen, through seasons of potion making. No two are the same, and that is the point.

Who it's for

For the parent
The measuring spoon that lives two lives: potion measures in the mud kitchen, real measures in yours.
For the educator
Early measurement concepts in wood: whole and quarter teaspoons for recipe-following, ratio talk, and careful pouring.
For the gift-giver
The clever little gift that works: two measures, one branch handle, carved by hand.

Ways to play.

Measure potion ingredients, scoop soil and sand, stir rainwater with petals and leaves, and sprinkle the fizz. Pairs in the Enchanted Garden with the Wildflower Pouring Cup, and graduates to real baking whenever the chef does.

Details

Materials & construction

Hand-carved, hand-sanded, and hand-polished from Doussie, a Vietnamese plantation timber from responsibly managed sources, then finished with food-grade oil. Low-waste packaging and small-scale production. Free of harmful chemicals, paints, and toxins, with a smooth, splinter-free finish. Grain and carving vary piece to piece; that variation is the handwork showing, not a defect.

Care & storage

Play in water is fine; just don't leave it submerged for days. Towel-dry after wet play, refresh the wood now and then with a rub of beeswax or vegetable oil, use only mild dish soap if needed, and never the dishwasher.
