Each Fairyshadow bumblebee is sewn and finished by hand in a small studio in Bodega, California, in limited batches. He is made from soft cotton velour, 80% cotton and 20% polyester, over a wooden body, with whimsical flower-petal wings and a thread to hang by. Because he includes an artificial flower, he is ornamental rather than a toy.

Skin tones vary by what is on hand, and because everything is handmade, no two are exactly alike.
