Materials & construction

Solid alder, a finely grained sustainable hardwood, with rounded corners, coated in linseed oil and natural plant oils and never varnished. Finishes conform to the European EN 71 toy safety standard. Each stove is handcrafted, so shaping, grain, and the occasional knot vary, and no two are alike. Made in Poland by Drewart.

Care & storage

Wipe with a dry cloth, or one that is barely damp. Keep away from radiators and long direct sun. If the wood feels dry after years of play, rub in a little linseed oil to refresh the finish. Check the knobs and door now and then, the way any good kitchen gets looked after.
