Materials & construction

The Monstera is carved from a single piece of sustainable wood and finished with non-toxic, water-based paint, with no small detachable parts.

Bumbu hand-carves and hand-paints its toys in Romania. Because each piece is worked by hand, the grain and the exact tone vary slightly from one to the next. The wood keeps its natural texture, so light marks and color variation are normal.

Care & storage

Wipe clean with a dry or barely damp cloth. Do not soak, submerge, or put it in the dishwasher, as standing water can lift the paint and raise the grain. Kept away from direct heat and damp, it will stay good for years; if the surface ever looks dry, a little beeswax polish brings the color back.
