Materials & construction

The Large Bush is carved from a single piece of FSC-certified lime wood and finished with non-toxic, water-based paint. There are no joins or small parts to come loose; it is one solid, rounded form.

Bumbu hand-carves and hand-paints its toys in Romania. Because each piece is shaped and painted by hand, the exact green and the grain underneath vary slightly from bush to bush. The wood keeps its natural texture, so light marks and tonal variation are normal.

Care & storage

Clean by hand with a dry or slightly damp cloth, never in the dishwasher and never left to soak, since trapped water lifts paint and roughens the grain. Stored somewhere cool and dry it lasts for years, and a little beeswax now and then keeps the finish fresh.
