A daisy carved where the handle meets the bowl, with tactile petals that give little fingers plenty of places to grip while the fairy potion comes together.

It is the potion-mixer of the flower family: pretty enough for the tea party, sturdy enough for the mud.

Why it lasts.

We carry Wild Mountain Child because these are real tools, not toy-shaped props: hand-carved, hand-sanded, and hand-polished from Doussie plantation timber by Vietnamese artisans in a traditional craft village, finished in food-grade oil, and designed in Australia by a mother who watched her own child's sensory play and built the tools it was missing. No two are the same, and that is the point.

Who it's for

For the parent
The fairy-potion stirrer: carved petals to grip, and a spoon that survives being buried in the garden.
For the educator
Tactile carving for grip development, and a favorite at the potion and flower-soup stations.
For the gift-giver
A carved daisy in a small hand: the gift that looks like spring and works like a spoon.

Ways to play.

Mix fairy potions, stir flower soup, scoop petals and glitter mud, and serve the garden tea party. Matches the Daisy Strainer for a full daisy service.

Details

Materials & construction

Hand-carved, hand-sanded, and hand-polished from Doussie, a Vietnamese plantation timber, then finished with food-grade oil. Free of harmful chemicals, paints, and toxins, with a smooth, splinter-free finish. Grain and carving vary piece to piece; that variation is the handwork showing, not a defect.

Care & storage

Play in water is fine; just don't leave it submerged for days. Towel-dry after wet play, refresh the wood now and then with a rub of beeswax or vegetable oil, use only mild dish soap if needed, and never the dishwasher.
