Why it lasts.

Felt wears in, not out. This tree is hand-felted from dense wool, soft to the touch but sturdy enough to stand, be moved, and be played around for years. It is the kind of piece a child keeps, then passes to a sibling.

Who it's for

For the parent
It suits a family that loves small-world play and a felt home a child can fill with their own characters and stories.
For the educator
It anchors a small-world or storytelling shelf, a home and a setting that invite narrative and imaginative play.
For the gift-giver
It makes a memorable, handmade gift for a child who loves fairies, trees, and the moon and stars.

Ways to play.

Open the door and settle a fairy or gnome inside, set someone on the swing, and hang a wish on a star. Bring in little folk from the rest of the Himalayan Felt collection to share the tree.

Details

Materials & construction

Made from 100% sheep's wool sourced from Australia and New Zealand, hand-felted and hand sewn in Nepal by artisans working under fair trade conditions. The dyes are azo-free. Because each piece is shaped entirely by hand, slight variations give every one its own character.

Care & storage

Spot clean with a lightly damp cloth and a drop of mild soap. Do not submerge in water, machine wash, or wring: the hand-felted fibers will shrink and lose their shape permanently if saturated. Air dry flat, away from direct heat and sunlight. Store in a dry place. Natural dyes may mellow gently over years of use; this is a characteristic of the material, not a defect.
