Why it lasts.

We carry Q Toys at My Toy Wagon because they finish wood to be felt rather than sealed smooth, and because they make under a Fair Trade scheme in Vietnam with a zero-waste principle behind the material choices.

Who it's for

For the parent
Capitals are usually the first letters a child recognises, and these are big enough to handle without frustration.
For the educator
Letter recognition with a tactile component, suitable from the pre-school room up.
For the gift-giver
Pairs naturally with the lowercase puzzle if you want to give a set.

Ways to play.

Lift and replace the letters. Spell a name. Match capitals to the lowercase set. Trace the straight lines and curves with a finger.

Materials & construction

Rubberwood, with the letters dyed in food-grade colours. Q Toys list the material simply as rubber wood.

Designed in Australia and made in Vietnam under a Fair Trade scheme by Q Toys.

Age & safety

Safety

Tested to ASTM F963, the US toy safety standard. Recommended for ages 2 and up. Colours vary slightly from the photographs.

Care & storage

Wipe with a dry cloth, or one barely damp. Do not soak, and keep it out of direct sun so the colours hold.

Because the timber is natural and the work is done by hand, grain, colour and size vary a little from piece to piece. That is the material showing, not a fault.

Q Toys Q Toys began in Australia and makes in Vietnam under a Fair Trade scheme. They finish their wood to stay palpable under a hand rather than sealed smooth, so a child feels the grain of the thing they are holding. Plantation rubberwood, acacia and Canadian hemlock, with some pieces made from the industrial byproducts of coconut and lychee trees, and a zero-waste principle behind the material choices.
