A wide, low push walker with a handle at the right height for someone who has just worked out that standing is possible. They lean on it, take a step, and it moves with them rather than away from them.

From about twelve months, when a child is pulling up on furniture and looking for something that will hold steady while they try a step.

Why it lasts.

We carry Q Toys at My Toy Wagon because they finish wood to be felt rather than sealed smooth, and because they make under a Fair Trade scheme in Vietnam with a zero-waste principle behind the material choices.

Who it's for

For the parent
The wide base is the point. A light walker slides away and knocks confidence; this one holds while they lean on it.
For the educator
Suitable for an infant room where children are moving from cruising to independent steps.
For the gift-giver
A first-birthday gift that gets used almost immediately, and looks like furniture rather than plastic.

Ways to play.

Push it the length of a hallway. Load the tray with blocks and move them room to room. Park it and pull up on the handle. Once walking is easy it becomes a cart.

Amazing!

Wonderfully built and sturdy. My 1.5 year old loves to push things around and it’s a perfect size for him

Works well enough

The Q toys baby walker is very sturdy and doesn't tip easily. I wish the design allowed the handle to lean a little further back so that baby didn't have to lean over so much while pushing. But not bad for one of the cheapest wooden walkers on the market.

Sturdy wagon/walker for new walkers.

My one year old granddaughter loves her wagon. She immediately put a toy in the wagon and pushed it across the room. It is bottom heavy so does not tip, at least not for us so far.

Details

Materials & construction

Handmade from solid, sustainably sourced plantation timber and finished with beeswax and natural oils. The tray base is pressed wood.

Made in Vietnam under a Fair Trade scheme. Q Toys work to a zero-waste principle and also make from the industrial byproducts of coconut and lychee trees.

Age & safety

Safety

Tested to ASTM F963, the US toy safety standard. For 12 months to 3 years, with adult supervision.

This is a PUSH-ALONG walker, not a seated baby walker. The child walks behind it on their own feet. The American Academy of Pediatrics advises against seated walkers that a baby sits inside; this is not one of those. Wide base and anti-tip design. Simple assembly required.

Care & storage

Wipe with a dry cloth, or one barely damp. Do not soak, and keep it out of direct sun. Check the assembly bolts from time to time, as with anything a child leans their weight on.
