Why it lasts.

Solid linden, cut to shape and then sanded and painted by hand. The shell is scored into plates and the body left in bare wood underneath, so the paint reads as markings.

Ways to play.

It lies flat, so it swims across a table rather than standing on it. Set it beside the green one and a child has a pair to sort, compare, and give names to.

Materials & construction

Every Mako toy is cut to shape and then sanded and painted by hand in a small family workshop in Serbia. The wood is solid linden.

Care & storage

Wipe clean with a dry cloth, or one that is barely damp. Never soak or submerge it in water, and do not leave it wet. Keep it out of direct heat.
