Why it lasts.

Solid maple, hand-painted. It is cut thick enough to stand on its own on a shelf or a table without a base to prop it up.

Who it's for

For the parent
It suits a family that wants a small tree children are allowed to touch, alongside the one they are not.
For the educator
It gives a December shelf a fixed center, which makes it easier for several children to build around at once.
For the gift-giver
It makes a good first piece of a set, because everything else in the range arranges itself around it.

Ways to play.

It is the piece that turns a row of figures into a scene. Children put it in the middle and build outward, and because it is the only tall object besides the princess, it decides where the middle is.

Care & storage

Wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth. Keep it out of standing water and away from direct heat, which can open the grain over time.
