Twelve pieces of fruits and vegetables, meticulously needle-felted and ethically hand-felted from 100 percent New Zealand wool and colored with azo-free dye that is safe for children and pets. The pomegranate, purple fig, and lemon each come whole and cut to show the inside. Each set weighs about 320 g, and small variations are part of the craft.

Children can set up a market grocer stall, open the halved pomegranate, fig, and lemon to see inside, and learn the names of popular fruits and vegetables. Pretend cooking and shopping play encourages a positive view of fruits and vegetables in everyday meals.
