A playstand is the piece a playroom organizes itself around. One week it is a shop with the wares laid out for serious customers, the next it is a puppet theater, a pirate ship, or a reading nook with a cloth thrown over the arch. This set brings the half arch and a separate shelving unit, so the shop can be arranged and rearranged as the story requires.

The little scale and register belong to their own listings, and the chair is not included. This is the stage itself, and childhood happens around it for years.

Materials & construction

Solid alder, a finely grained sustainable hardwood, coated in linseed oil and natural plant oils and never varnished. Finishes conform to the European EN 71 toy safety standard. Each piece is handcrafted, so shaping, grain, and the occasional knot vary, and no two are alike. Made in Poland by Drewart.

Care & storage

Wipe with a dry cloth, or one that is barely damp. Keep away from radiators and long direct sun. If the wood feels dry after years of play, rub in a little linseed oil to refresh the finish. This is a heavy piece shipped in two boxes; assemble on a flat floor and check the fittings seasonally.
